Israeli Probate Law

Eli Rosenberg holds dual qualification as both an Israeli Advocate and a Solicitor of England and Wales. This combination is rare and we are not aware of any other practitioner holding full admission in both jurisdictions whilst maintaining active practice in both jurisdictions.

This dual qualification enables integrated advice for cross-border matters. When Israeli proceedings require proof of English law, the firm provides that evidence directly. When English proceedings require evidence of Israeli law, the firm provides that evidence itself.

Eli Rosenberg is a member of the Israeli Bar Association’s Tel Aviv District Committees for Inheritance, Intellectual Property, International Relations, and International Arbitration. He is also a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and the International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists.

The firm is periodically instructed by Magic Circle firms to support matters involving Israeli law—a recognition of expertise that cannot be manufactured through marketing.

Probate Orders — Applications to the Registrar for Inheritance Matters when a valid will exists, whether created in Israel or abroad, and dealing with drafting and submitting a foreign expert opinion of the applicable law.

Succession Orders — Applications when no valid will exists or when a will is declared void. For foreign domiciliaries, the firm coordinates evidence of foreign succession law under Section 137.

Estate Administration — Full-service administration including locating and securing assets, managing and selling properties, dealing with Israeli banks, and distributing to beneficiaries worldwide.

Contesting Wills — Representation in disputes involving undue influence, mental incapacity, forgery, improper procedure, and other reasonable legal grounds.

Expert Opinions — Expert evidence on Israeli law for foreign courts and expert evidence on English law for Israeli proceedings.

Banking Matters — Navigating Israeli banking compliance requirements to achieve release of inherited funds and international transfers.

Service Without Travel

The firm was established specifically to serve international clients with Israeli legal matters. For over fifty years, non-Israeli and non-Hebrew speaking clients have been the core of the practice.

Communication is in English as standard. Documents are prepared for clients unfamiliar with Hebrew. Court appearances are handled without requiring client travel. Banking and administrative matters are managed by correspondence.

Clients in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and elsewhere receive full service without leaving their home countries.
